Susan Tegt was recently honored with the opportunity to co-present at the “Annual Developments” plenary session at the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising.  The Forum on Franchising’s annual meeting is attended by hundreds of attorneys from around the world with the Annual Developments presentation consider the signature event and a highlight of the Forum. The Annual Developments presentation covered the most important legal cases, policies and regulations affecting franchising and distribution over the past year.

The ABA Forum on Franchising selects two keynote speakers for the Annual Developments session who are nationally recognized attorneys and known as leaders in their fields. This year the Annual Developments session was presented by Susan Tegt from Larkin Hoffman and Dan Oates of Miller Nash in Seattle.  In preparation for the presentation, Susan and Dan reviewed all cases and legislation involving or affecting franchising and distribution throughout the year to determine which matters were worthy of inclusion in their presentation.  In addition to preparing the presentation, Susan and Dan co-authored an “Annual Developments” book containing hundreds of summaries on all franchise and distribution cases published during their reporting period.  The book is published by the American Bar Association.

“Susan gave a remarkable presentation in front of 700 or so of her colleagues. This was no small undertaking and is a reflection of her dedication and leadership within the franchise community and our firm,” said Joe Fittante, who, along with Susan Tegt, leads the franchise practice group at Larkin Hoffman.
