Ellie Mental Health’s Franchise Story

Sawan Patel May 5th, 2023

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, officially observed in the U.S. since 1949. Accordingly, we invite you to take a moment to sit with Erin Pash, founder and CEO of Ellie Mental Health, as she shares how the franchising model helps clinicians and therapists help others by offering community-based mental health care access to people all over the U.S.

In 2021, Larkin Hoffman worked with the founders of Ellie Mental Health to structure a franchise system offering to licensed counselors and therapists franchised businesses that operate outpatient counseling and therapy clinics.  Today, Ellie Mental Health has granted over 400 franchises across the U.S. with over 100 clinics open for operation, bringing much-needed access to mental health care to different markets and communities, including underserved rural areas.

As discussed by Erin, franchising has allowed Ellie Mental Health to continue to focus on serving their Minnesota patients but also permit other counselors and therapists to use the Ellie Mental Health technology, back-office, and marketing systems and practices to serve their local patient populations.
